Plain Muji
Japanese rice paper (Washi paper) is a
traditional papermaking craft art of the Yamato people. Washi paper is
generally used on shoji door, shoji screen so also called as “Shoji paper”. The
main material usually used for Washi paper are broussonetia
papyrifera, wikstroemia sikokiana and edgeworthia chrysantha. The handmade
Washi papermaking craft art is spread all over Japan. There are many famous
places of origin such as Mino, Kurotani, Echizen and Ogawa handmade Washi
papers etc. With special industrial process, we are able to rewrite all
handmade Washi paper on PS resin sheet one by one and we call it "Unryu
sheet or Washi sheet or Shoji sheet" could be applied on Japanese Zen
rice-paper shoji wooden room divider, shoji door, shoji screen, tatami door.
Others like hemp paper, jute paper, grain paper, rhizome ligustici leaves paper, wave paper and pine paper, we also can duplicate them perfectly to be used in interior decoration and partition, which keeps the light shining in the house, waterproof, scratch resistant, stain resistant and easy to clean. Visually, our “Unryu sheet” has the same layering and feeling as Washi paper, especially at hand-touching, it gives an excellent sensation as Washi paper. Our process is currently the closest high imitation process to the handmade Washi paper.
