Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), also known as Acrylic or plexiglass and Lucite (trade name). High transparency, low price, easy machining, etc.,  a glass substitute material that is used  frequently. 

PMMA is currently the most excellent polymer transparent material with a light transmittance of 92 %, which  higher than that of glass. Acrylic has good weather resistance and aging resistance, good chemical resistance, acid and alkali resistance and oil resistance, good color-ability and high gloss.
